OGX Hair Care review

This is the first thorough product review on the blog and it was not a bad place to start. Recently, shampoos and conditioners hadn’t been doing their job and not making the most of leaving hair soft and shiny. In search of some Hair products that would offer this reliably, OGX Hair Care came into play. There are varying options available under this brand and picking the Coconut range as well as the Brazilin Keratin conditioner was a stab in the dark. The main reason for picking OGX to try was the price of the product. These hair products were fairly dear at around £8 (although they are often on offer) so it needed to be tested to see if they were worth the cost. They were.

These products worked a treat. There was a high expectation, of course, but they exceeded that and gave more. Ok, this may not sound like a very critical review but they can praise things just as much. As a start, the Coconut shampoo and conditioner were trialled together and certainly work well as a pair. The strong smell of coconut makes the products that bit better with the smell lasting on your hair for days. The shampoo is rather simple with it’s appearance out of the bottle being the best part about it. Nevertheless, it sets up a nice stage for the Coconut conditioner to really work it’s magic. It left hair feeling totally nourished and super soft- even working properly on curly hair by separating the curls. On top of the visible effects, OGX products each contain selective ingredients that help the health of your hair. The coconut products chosen contain coconut milk, egg white proteins and coconut oils; all beneficial in the growth and strengthen of hair.

As an interesting measure for those with thicker and curlier hair, the Brazilian Keratin smooth conditioner from OGX was tested. The smell of the liquid was again very yummy and as pleasing as the design of the bottles (a small thing but still a positive). This particularly focused on trying to tame the manes, with keratin proteins, coconut oil, coca butter and avocado oil to smooth cuticles for straighter hair. This works brilliantly with your hair feeling very light after a good wash with it. Brazilian Keratin smooth conditioner is quite effective and so would seem to work fine with any other shampoo but to maximise results it might be worth giving the Brazilian Keratin smooth shampoo a try.

We mustn’t forget the coconut milk anti-breakage serum. Very simply it makes the perfect final step in hair care- reducing frizziness and split ends. It must be stressed that you only need a SMALL amount of the serum to apply on damp, washed hair. There is danger that too much will make your hair greasy but that can be avoided. Especially when the coconut milk anti-breakage serum supports the coconut shampoo and conditioner so well. It’s about £7, which is a little expensive to have as well so is not essential. Your hair is left smelling scrumptious for days!

Regarding the costs of OGX shampoos and conditoners, they may seem a bit pricey but your Hair is worth the attention when results such as these are possible. The one negative would be that the bottles could be slightly bigger for the price. You tend to need a generous amount of hair product when applying. The coconut double is certainly a must and would be more favourable for you to try first- whether you have fine, thick, curly or any-type of hair, it works. OGX Hair Care is available in most high street stores and don’t forget they are often on offer so you could pick some up at a decent price. Now that’s a miracle.
